A Pirate Says Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

We had Casey's 4th birthday party this past Sat. It was a lot of work but I think the kids had a good time. Josh's mom made the pirate ship cake. It turned out AWESOME!!!!!

We had a treasure hunt for the kids and on the treasure hunt they found different things to help them be a pirate. Of course Josh and I had to join in. There's nothing like a baby girl wearing a 'stache!!!!

Don't we look good in our Pirate shirts???

Ky also got to celebrate her birthday a little early. Josh's mom made her a cake too. She had a great time smashing it. I'm not sure how much she actually ate but I believe there is some still in my carpet!

Casey went to Minnesota with Auntie Beth for the week. We're going to get him this weekend and have a party for Ky. I can't believe she'll be ONE in a week. Where has this year gone?

Happy Birthday Casey!!!!

Happy 4th Birthday Casey! We have a fun filled day celebrating Casey turning 4. I worked this morning and then met Casey, Josh and Ky at Stone Fire Pizza. It's sort of like Chuck E Cheeses but better. It's a buffet and they have salad, pizza, pasta dishes, stir fry dishes, drinks and desserts (the food is actually pretty good). They have a lot more games for the older crowd and a couple of cute rooms for the young kids. Casey had a great time there. After a afternoon filled with fun games and playing we went to the hockey rink for the clinic I'm running. Mrs. Hatch watched the kids. The rink has a big arcade attached to it so Mrs. Hatch took the kids to play some more games. We brought cupcakes for the girls and the girls sang Casey "Happy Birthday." Casey loved it! I guess the day tired out the kids. I'll post the pictures from when we got home. Josh forgot the camera for lunch so I only have mental pictures of that. Now I have the pirate party to get ready for...

Casey, in his birthday shirt, crashed out after a long day.

Ky Didn't even wake up for her diaper change.

Kylin got her 3rd tooth around the 4th of July. Will she have 4 by the time she's 1?

What have we been doing????

So I guess it's about time I posted again. I'm not very good at keeping this up to date. We have been keeping busy working on the yard. When we got back from Florida we spent Memorial Day weekend down in S. Illinois with Josh's family. We went fishing and rode the 4-wheelers and just relaxed. (Maybe I'll get some pictures up). Then we put in a patio in our back yard where the pool used to be. Josh and I did it our self and it looks pretty good. Now we planted sod around it and got the flowers in and I have veggies growing in my garden. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the garden is in the middle of my yard but it's the only place that gets sun so what can you do?

I took the kids to Minnesota for the 4th of July while Josh went camping and floating around in the canoe in Canada with friends from college. My mom and sister came back with me on the 4th so I could work that Thursday and Friday. The kids ended up getting sick on Sat. Casey decided to wait to throw up until AFTER my mom and Beth left. They were only 20 minutes away so they came back to help me out. Nothing like cleaning up puke all over your bed!

Kylin now has THREE teeth! I think her other top one is coming in. If it makes it in this month that will be two teeth in a month. Watch out! We're getting ready for birthday parties. Casey is having his friends over for a Pirate Party on July 28th. We're going to have a treasure hunt and pinata and play a few more games. During the treasure hunt the kids are going to find different pirate things and end the hunt looking like pirates. I lucked out and found a bunch of stuff for $1. I never realized how expensive kids parties can be! After the pirate party some friends are coming over for a cookout. My mom is out of town so she won't be there. Josh's mom is making a pirate ship cake. I love having someone who can bake cakes in the family! She made an awesome tractor cake and a cow cake for Casey's first birthday! On Sunday we'll send Casey home with my sister and then Josh, Ky and I are headed back to Minnesota for another party. My friends are coming over to my mom's house and we'll have a party for Ky (Casey will get stuff too).

I'll work on getting some pictures up a little later.
